Since 2018, Shola Ghar has been manufacturing designer and traditional Bengali Bridal Topor Mukut in Kolkata.
Shola Ghar is founded by the visionary entrepreneur Mr. Tapas Chakraborty on 2007 and carry forwarded by the team members of Shola Ghar (since 2021, after his death).
This journey has been started 40+ years back with no name and zero team member. In Kumortuli, during Durga Puja season, Mr Tapas Chakraborty started manufacturing and selling Pooja pandle and home decoration items made up of Shola in a small cart. A few years later, he started selling different types of Protima Saaj and the items to design Protima chalchitra. On 2007, he opened a shop at Kumortuli and named that shop as ‘Shola Ghar’, where he started selling these items as well as some old designs of Mukuts. Later, this shop is named as ‘Saaj’ (sisterhood company of Shola Ghar).
Since then, in Saaj, we are selling different types of Pratima Ornaments, Pandel Decoration Items as well as Daker Saaj ( Shola, Zari Art, Art Bangla, Topor, Taar Keshi Saaj & other decorations of idols, idol hair, shola flower, kadam, chalchitra, thikri steps and many other items). We also provide doorstep delivery of these items.
After that, from 2018 a complete separated business of Topor and Mukut has been started and created an industry of Topor and Mukut in all over world. From 2021, after the death of Mr. Tapas Chakraborty, this company is carring forwarded by the team members of Shola Ghar.
Now, Shola Ghar has become a go-to-place for all the brides and grooms. Shola Ghar has two outlets in Kolkata (Chinar park and Shovabazar) and has profiles in Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Thread and it also has Website, where you can visit and see all the designs of Topor Mukut and other Wedding items. And now, we are moving forward with the vision of opening branches in every cities of West Bengal.
